Waiver & House Rules
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand that use of The Brooklyn Spa facilities includes, but is not limited to, the hot tub, dry sauna, steam room, cold plunge, showers, lounge areas, and outdoor areas. These activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, overheating, dehydration, dizziness, fainting, and other injuries. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my use of the spa facilities.
INJURY & ACCIDENT DISCLAIMER
I understand that The Brooklyn Spa is not responsible for accidents, injuries, slips, falls, or medical incidents that may occur during my visit. Spa surfaces may be wet or slippery, and use of all facilities is entirely at my own risk. I agree that The Brooklyn Spa, its owners, operators, and staff shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, harm, or medical incident sustained by myself or anyone in my party, regardless of cause.
MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
I confirm that I am in adequate physical condition to use the spa facilities. I understand that if I am pregnant or have heart conditions, blood pressure issues, respiratory conditions, or other medical concerns, I should consult a physician before use.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I hereby release, waive, and discharge The Brooklyn Spa, its owners, operators, employees, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to my use of the spa facilities, including personal injury, illness, or property damage, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
MINORS
Guests under the age of 18 are permitted only when supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times. The supervising adult assumes full responsibility for the minor’s safety, behavior, and compliance with all spa rules and policies.
CLEANLINESS & HYGIENE
All guests must shower before entering the hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, or steam room. Proper hygiene is required at all times.
NO GLASS POLICY
For safety reasons, glass is strictly prohibited anywhere inside the spa suite, including bottles, cups, and containers. Any glass items brought in may be removed immediately. Guests are responsible for any damage or injury caused by glass.
TIME & DEPARTURE POLICY
Bookings are for the reserved time only. Guests must exit the spa suite on time at the end of their booking to allow for cleaning and preparation for the next guests. Staying beyond the booked time without approval may result in additional charges. Late departures that impact cleaning or subsequent bookings may be charged at an additional hourly rate.
LATE ARRIVALS
Late arrivals do not extend booking time. Sessions end at the originally scheduled time.
ADDITIONAL GUESTS
The booking price covers the number of guests selected at the time of booking. Any additional guests beyond the approved number require prior approval and will be charged $100 per person per hour, payable immediately. Unauthorized additional guests may result in removal from the premises without refund.
OCCUPANCY LIMIT
Guest count may not exceed the maximum allowed for the booking type. Exceeding the limit may result in removal from the premises without refund.
PROPERTY & DAMAGES
I am financially responsible for any damage caused by myself or anyone in my party to the spa, equipment, furnishings, or property.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
The Brooklyn Spa is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. Guests are responsible for securing their belongings at all times.
FOOD, ALCOHOL & SUBSTANCES
Guests acknowledge that the use of alcohol or other substances is entirely at their own risk. The Brooklyn Spa assumes no responsibility for injuries, incidents, or harm related to intoxication or impaired judgment. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
CONDUCT & REMOVAL
The Brooklyn Spa reserves the right to remove any guest who behaves unsafely, causes damage, or violates these rules. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
NOISE POLICY
Guests must keep music and noise at reasonable levels. Excessive noise or disturbance may result in early termination of the booking without refund.
STAFF AUTHORITY
Guests agree to follow instructions given by spa staff at all times. Failure to comply may result in removal from the premises without refund.
PAYMENT POLICY
All bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking. Reservations are not confirmed without full payment. No exceptions.
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled booking time are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for late cancellations, no-shows, late arrivals, early departures, or unused time. Rescheduling within 24 hours may be offered at management’s discretion.
UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
The Brooklyn Spa is not responsible for interruptions or cancellations due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to power outages, equipment failure, or emergencies. In such cases, rescheduling may be offered at management’s discretion.
GROUP RESPONSIBILITY
The primary booking guest confirms that all members of their party have read, understood, and agreed to this waiver and house rules and assumes full responsibility for their compliance.
EMERGENCIES
In the event of an emergency, The Brooklyn Spa reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary for the safety of guests and property, including ending a session early.
BINDING AGREEMENT
By booking and/or entering The Brooklyn Spa, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to this Waiver & House Rules. This agreement is legally binding and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law. Consent is provided electronically at the time of booking and is legally binding.
